The Columbus Montessori Parent Association strives to promote positive relationships among teachers, staff, students and parents within our community. All parents are automatically members and invited to participate!

Now Recruiting Room Parents
Room Parents are an important part of the Columbus Montessori community! They serve as a liaison between parents in each classroom and the teachers. They also keep parents informed on the activities of the Parent Association.
If you are interested in learning more or would like to sign-up to be a room parent, please email Joanna Helon or Linsey Moffett, co-chairs of the Parent Association.
The Parent Association will assist room parents by providing timely information, templates for sign-up sheets and ideas of how to make being a room parent easy and fun!
Show Your School Spirit: September 16, 2011 and January 17, 2012
Wear blue and orange, Columbus Montessori, colors to show your school pride!
Join us October 16th for the Fall Festival
Pumpkins, face painting, games and more! Bring your whole family to this casual afternoon event at the Center to see friends and meet new people at Columbus Montessori. Each child receives a free mini-pumpkin.
Skating Party on November 2, 2011 and March 7, 2012
Join Columbus Montessori families for a night of skating and fun at United Skates of America at Refugee Road. Adults can put on a pair of skates and join in the fun too!
Book Fair – November 14-18, 2011
This week-long book fair raises funds for Columbus Montessori and raises awareness about the importance of books and stories in our lives. Children will visit the book fair with their classrooms and parents will be able to purchase books and other reading-related items throughout the day.

Twice a year, parents at Columbus Montessori prepare lunch for our faculty and staff to show our gratitude for their dedication to our children.
New This Year: Host Family Program
This year, we have started a Host Family program with the goal of matching incoming families with current families to make the transition to Columbus Montessori a comfortable and easy process. We remember our first days at Columbus Montessori and know that sometimes questions arise and it helps to have someone to contact who has the “scoop” from the parent perspective.

Please join us to make Columbus Montessori Education Center more than a school … a community! Parent volunteers make it possible for the Center to do many activities to make Columbus Montessori a special place for students, parents , teachers and staff. If you have a particular area of interest, let us know. If you can be “on-call” as needs at the Center arise, please tell us. Together, we can make Columbus Montessori the best it can be.
